This study examines the relationship between strategic human resource investment and financial performance by focusing on employee development, workforce productivity, and HR-related financial efficiency. A quantitative, cross-sectional design was employed using a cleaned secondary HR Analytics Dataset comprising 2,845 employee-level observations and 28 variables. Strategic HR investment was represented through Training Cost, Training Duration, Training Type, and Training Program, while employee development was assessed through Training Outcome. Workforce productivity was operationalized using Performance Score and Current Employee Rating, and HR Investment Efficiency was derived from productivity relative to training expenditure. Descriptive statistics, group comparisons, correlation analysis, and multiple regression were used to evaluate the proposed relationships. The findings showed that Training Cost did not significantly differ across employee-development outcomes and had virtually no direct relationship with workforce productivity. Training Duration and development success were also not significant predictors of productivity. However, workforce productivity showed a positive association with the derived HR Investment Efficiency measure, indicating that the value of HR investment depends more on the productive outcomes generated than on expenditure alone. The study concludes that organizations should evaluate employee-development investments through outcome-based HR analytics rather than relying primarily on training expenditure as an indicator of strategic value.
