Archiving & Preservation Policy
Ensuring Permanent Access to Scholarly Research
The Journal is committed to the long-term preservation of its scholarly content. We employ a multi-layered archiving strategy to ensure that all published research remains accessible to the global community, even in the event of technical failure or if the journal ceases publication.
Archival Procedure
Our systematic approach to digital preservation follows a structured protocol designed to ensure the long-term security, integrity, and accessibility of all published content.
- Automatic Harvesting via PKP PN: Upon publication, all articles are automatically ingested into the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) . This process ensures that a secure, independent copy of each article is preserved outside the journal’s primary hosting environment. By maintaining distributed preservation copies, PKP PN safeguards scholarly content against risks such as accidental loss, technical failure, cyber incidents, or server unavailability.
- Long-Term Accessibility: The PKP Preservation Network provides a reliable mechanism for ensuring that published research remains accessible to the academic community over time. Even in the event of journal platform disruption or cessation, preserved content remains securely stored within the preservation network.
- Content Integrity Protection: Articles archived through PKP PN are preserved in their original published form, protecting the authenticity and integrity of the scholarly record. This guarantees that future readers access the official Version of Record without unauthorized alterations.
- Standards-Based Preservation: PKP PN operates using internationally recognized digital preservation practices, supporting sustainable scholarly communication and compliance with archiving expectations of indexing and abstracting services.
